Susan Peng-Cowan (she/her/hers) has called Vancouver home since 2003, when she moved from her hometown of San Francisco seeking a change of pace and lifestyle. Since that time, she has invested in the Clark County community primarily through work with teens in a wide variety of settings. Susan is the Behavioral Health Navigator for school districts in SW Washington, where she engages in community and state partnerships to increase access to care for youth and families. She considers her life work to increase hope, achieve equity, and build resilient youth and communities. She serves in numerous equity capacities, including representing her community as a member of the equity advisory committee of VPS.

Susan received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from San Francisco State University and her Master’s Degree in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling, Cross Cultural emphasis from Cal State East Bay. She enjoys traveling, theatre, and exploring foods from all over the world. Her three boys share her love of food exploration and remain active through their local community through church, scouts, and VPS schools, where they have benefitted from the language immersion, stem, and arts programs. Susan is honored to serve on the board of Leadership Clark County to help advance equity in leadership across all sectors of our community.
