In order to create a high quality learning environment for LCC students, class size is limited to approximately 36 members each year. Students are selected based on written applications, interviews, and references. Factors considered include demonstrated and potential leadership ability, prior community involvement, demonstrated or planned intent to give back to the community, communications skills, and commitment to the LCC program. To make the experience as enriching as possible for all participants, we also strive to have each class reflect the diversity of our community, as well as a mix of public and private-sector professional expertise, and varied personal/life experiences.

We are accepting applications until April 30th for the Class of 2012. Download an application to get started.

Any questions on your application can be forwarded to:

LCC may offer scholarship assistance (download application) if there is adequate funding and demonstrated financial need. Documentation will be required.

LCC also offers an Excellence in Racial Equity Scholarship (EiRES) (download application) to honor current and past Clark County, Washington citizens who have contributed to the advancement of cultural, economic, and social equity across all races in our community and to encourage and develop future leaders passionate about social change and racial equity. Unlike LCC’s “needs based” general scholarship program, EiRES is a community “area of leadership” based scholarship.
